I wish you knew
How much it hurts
How much breathing
Has become a chore
How much each
Inhaled breath
Scrapes on the walls
Of my airways
To reach my lungs

Breath out is relief....

      I never counted

      Engulfed by the flames

      That would never heal

She tip toes

Ever so gently on his heart

Breathing life
   
      Into his art
   
      Even though
   
      They are worlds apart
   
  
   He scribbles like a mad man
   
      Hoping the words in his poems
   
      Will bridge the gap
   
      Between their worlds
   
      Violently thrusting them
   
      Into each others arms
   
   
  He tried the gently approach
   
      And the gravity
   
      From each ones world
   
      Pulled them back
   
      As if to say
   
      This is where

And accepts this fate
